Behind the Scenes

I am passionate about writing.  I am passionate about people, though I truly fucking hate most of them.  I enjoy raising eyebrows and I hate everything that is PC.  If I make you uncomfortable, then I am doing exactly what I set out to do, which is one part wanting to strike a nerve in some folks, and two parts keeping the right to free speech alive.

I have been a bartender for a majority of my 20’s, and I have found that being a bartender is a lot like being a publicist.  I’ve had to brand myself a certain way: as the likable, cute but foul-mouthed bartender with a sharp tongue.  I’ve had to create and build my own business (your regulars are your bread and butter!), and I’ve been responsible for keeping my reputation as the tattooed girl who’s nice to ALL walks of life, but will cut a bitch if need be!

I am the proud mother of one dramatic, loud-mouth, kick-ass young lady, Antoinette Louise.  I foresee lots of grief and screaming during her teenage years, but I am certain we will, in the end, be the best of friends.  For now, I have to be her mother and she really tries my patience most of the time. Send help!

I graduated with my Bachelor’s of Arts in communications in 2017 from Worcester State University and since I clearly enjoy debt and torturing myself, just shy of one-year later, I began my MBA in entrepreneurship at Southern New Hampshire University.

In one of my all-time favorite movies, A Bronx Tale, Robert DeNiro tells his son, Calogero, “One of the biggest tragedies in life is a waste of talent.” That has always stuck with me as one of the most profound words I’ve ever heard. While I would love to spend most, if not all of my free time sleeping, I wouldn’t be putting my art of writing to good use.  So you are all welcome!  Thanks for coming to my page, you filthy animals!
